Book Review – The Boy Who Knew Too Much

Recently I read The Boy Who Knew Too Much: An Astounding True Story of a Young Boy’s Past-Life Memories, written by his mother, Cathy Byrd.

It’s a powerful story of modern parents raising a modern Western Christian child, who has a past life recall.

Not just any past life either, but that of Lou Gehrig, baseball’s Hall-Of-Famer.

Not being a big sports fan, I had really only heard of Lou Gehrig through the ice bucket challenge of ALS that was publicized on the internet a few years ago, since ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

So this book came as a way to learn about Lou Gehrig’s life, through the eyes of Christian Byrd, the young boy who knew too much.

How does past life recall happen and how did it happen through this little boy?

Christian’s mother Cathy Byrd the author of the book is a Christian mid-western mother with a busy life and a family to raise.

Christian is introduced in the book as a toddler with a total baseball fixation.

Nothing unusual about that, you may think, many young kids are that way.

Only, with Christian, there are some essential differences that his mother noticed over time.

Often, before falling asleep, up until the age of 6 or so, Christian would start talking about his previous life, citing information, places, and people relating to Lou Gehrig’s intimate life.

Over time, Cathy noticed that all of this information was validatable, sometimes over the internet, other times through extensive research.

In many cases, the information could not have been known by anyone but Lou Gehrig himself, or close family members, right down to some jewelry being buried under the Gehrig family home for safety.

There came a point when Cathy realized that Christian even played the same way as Lou Gehrig, using a very well documented unusual arm move.

On her journey through this awareness, Christian’s mother travels with him to various baseball events and helps Christian to meet coaches that can help them connect the dots related to the stories that Christian tells.

Then the boy who knew too much – realizes his mother knows a lot, too!

This was a big leap of faith for Cathy. Christian tells his mom that she was also his mom in another life – Lou Gehrig’s life!

In order to validate this, Cathy visits a past life regressionist who practices QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique).

In fact, after finishing this book, I found out that Candace Craw-Goldman, a friend of mine here in Kansas, has interviewed Cathy Byrd as part of her work as a QHHT practitioner!

This book is entertaining and contains very thought-provoking information about past life recall, demonstrates the process and helps parents everywhere understand if their child is recalling memories of a past life and if so, what action parents can take.

Often, around age 6-7, memories like this start to fade as the child begins to identify more strongly with their current personality and body. In fact, there came a point where Christian said ‘I’ve decided to be myself now’.

What can you do if you have a child who knows too much?  Past Life Recall

If you believe your child is experiencing past life recall, document what the child says and if possible see if it can be validated in some way.

As an Akashic Records Reader, when I read for a parent until a child is 18 (legal age) then questions of concern and support for the child can be asked by the parent through me.

If the child’s Akashic Guides are agreeable, then helpful and supportive information can be transmitted to the parent to assist with parenting issues, whether it relates to past-life recall or other issues or circumstances.

In the mean time, The Boy Who Knew Too Much: An Astounding True Story of a Young Boy’s Past-Life Memories by Cathy Byrd is an inspiring story and a good guide also if you are experiencing past-life recall with through your children.
