On a more personal note, last year I lost both my mother and one of my closest friends within a few short weeks of each other.

That period brought a series of powerful “happenings” that shifted my entire perspective on death and the afterlife.

I had the opportunity to attend one of John’s group events in March of this year in Wichita, Kansas.

Out of respect for John’s request to keep the details of readings private, I won’t share specifics, but I can say this: he’s a masterful public speaker and energy worker.

Warm, funny, deeply compassionate, and yes, as he says himself, sometimes “harsh.” By that, he means direct and honest — he keeps the energy focused and doesn’t allow people to drift away from the heart of the message.

Despite the emotional nature of the readings, there was so much laughter throughout the evening. The energy in the room felt light and genuine.

As for me personally — well, my experience that night was unintentionally comical!

Synchronicity in Action – Seat Coincidence

• I’m afraid of heights, and my seat was in “the angels” (the very steep upper balcony of the Orpheum).
• I managed to sit in the wrong seat twice and had to keep moving around on that precarious slope!
• I got up to help a woman with a bad foot find her seat, only to discover my actual ticketed seat was one row below hers.
• Moments later, the one person I knew who was also attending, along with her mom, sat right next to that same woman.
• Another kind woman offered to swap seats so I could sit with my friend and her mom.

I was feeling quite alone there before the show, and I was hoping to see someone I knew, so I believe spirit helped me out.

A few weeks later, I watched one of John’s Australian events on video (from his Infinite Quest website) and discovered that this kind of “seat coincidence” happens all the time. In one reading, two brothers were sitting directly behind each other and didn’t even realize it until John brought them together through the reading!
