Encountering Your Life Review Now

Through the Eyes of AnotherThrough The Eyes of Another
Karen Noe’s first book published by Hay House leads us to consider the concept of having our life review before we leave, pass on or transition.

What is a life review and why would I need one?

In case you’re not familiar with the spiritual concept of a life review, many spiritual traditions, and quite a few psychic practitioners and mediums believe that a life review occurs once your spirit has transitioned through the veil to whatever lies beyond.

More complex than seeing your life flash before your eyes, a life review can be an opportunity to learn from your life lessons and discover why certain people or situations were in your life in the first place.  It can manifest as a movie that you watch, or as a series of meetings with people in your life who discuss their reasons for being with you this time around.

In ‘Through The Eyes of Another: A Medium’s Guide to Creating Heaven on Earth by Encountering Your Life Review NowThrough The Eyes of Another‘, Karen Noe, a psychic medium, often finds herself transmitting messages of regret from those who have passed on to clients she gives mediumship readings for.

So Karen got to thinking about conducting a life review for herself – before passing on

In Karen’s case, she decided to write a series of letters to her family members, those both still alive and those already deceased.  The resultant changes in her life are a powerful and moving read.

The first part of Through the Eyes of Another describes Karen’s personal journey through her own life review.  She writes letters and sends them, first to her three children, then to her ex-husband, her sister, her father, and finally to her deceased mother.

Through the Eyes of Another – you don’t need to be a medium to do this

This is an emotional book – may well be one for a quiet read in a peaceful corner.  I couldn’t control the healing tears so had to stop reading it once at the hairdresser and once at the bookstore.  Karen’s writing really hits the mark and helps to connect us with a lot of our own issues if we are considering using this method to clear and heal.

Karen’s personal journey Through the Eyes of Another led her to greater peace and healing for herself and others in her close family.

I know I got a chance to talk through a life review with my mum before she passed and it definitely made the transition easier for both of us.

I didn’t have that opportunity or awareness with my dad, who passed when I was 19, so it took me much longer to deal with the grief and heal from his early passing.

It may be a painful concept to face, but a very healing process to work through a book like this and it works well whether you are a medium or not.

How to conduct my own life review?

Following on from her personal experiences, Karen devotes the second part of the book to a comprehensive guide as to how to conduct your own life review.

Using a dedicated group of women, Karen created a letter-writing experiment in order to decide how to write the letters, what type of letters to write, and most importantly the intention to be set behind each and every letter – that of peace and healing for everyone concerned.

Through the Eyes of Another teaches you how to write…

  • the gratitude letter
  • the forgiveness letter
  • the letter to yourself

and how to write to those who have passed.

You can also learn how to get feedback from your deceased loved ones and Karen reminds us to stay present with our loved ones that are here now.

  1. I love this. I think it could be especially helpful for those who think or know, that they should have such conversations with loved ones who are still alive or around, and yet the communication would be painful or otherwise too difficult to manage. Thanks for the review!

    • I agree Candace, writing the letters is a great medium whether they can (or will) be sent, or not.

Hope some people enter this competition, I have a signed copy of Karen Noe’s Through the Eyes of Another to give away!

  2. Sounds like an interesting book. I’ve been wondering about this topic for awhile, but haven’t found any good reads on it yet. Might have to give this a try.

Cool blog as well! I’ll be back.

Expressing our feelings to the people we love and had left us will always be an emotional experience. I have an aunt who is also my godmother and now has stage 4 liver cancer. She is one the kindest persons in this world that. Were able to maintain our ties with her children even thru letters and pictures that my family had kept until now, considering we have not met our cousins ever since. Since I am in the Philippines and she is in CA, I am not sure I can still get to see her alive. So what I do is pray and talk to her in my mind, thanking her for all the kindness she had show to me and my family.

I found this last part of your post to be the most interesting, and resourceful. Writing, as any fellow author knows, can be such a powerful tool to awakening the most buried feelings. Regardless of the platform, for example writing a letter, utilizing your skills are something we should all work towards.

I found this post interesting for the fact that I experienced the same type of Spiritual Awakening – and it was strange, at first. It did however lend me to an entirely different world of self-discovery and an amazing adventure.

If you’ve experienced any sort of spiritual awakening, connection or revelation I would love to hear about! Leave me a comment on my blog. http://magnificence.authorsxpress.com/
