Using Affirmations | Happy birthday to Louise Hay| You can buy Apps too for 50% off | Review by Mom On A Spiritual Journey
Louise Hay birthday celebration Apps also 50% off!
Following on from my post yesterday about Louise Hay publications such as You Can Heal Your life being 50% off today and yesterday, whilst at after school activities yesterday afternoon (a place where I play with my phone) I was wondering if Louise Hay Apps are 50% off too!
I downloaded 3 affirmation apps at $0.99 each – Creativity, Health and Forgiveness
I’m already very fond of 2 spiritual apps I use regularly, Denise Iwaniv’s Mystic Angels app and Doreen Virtue’s Ascended Masters app – the three apps I chose here will help me greatly and are very easy to use.
Creativity – today’s affirmation from Louise Hay’s I Can Do It Cards
The key to creativity is knowing that my thinking creates my experience. I use this key in every area of my life.
I look forward to a healthy old age because I take care of my body now.
I forgive myself for not being perfect. I am living the very best way I know how.
How to use affirmations and why they work
- Write them on yellow sticky notes for your bathroom mirror, wallet or purse
- Buy an app for your phone! 🙂
- I like to say an affirmation a minimum of three times each time, three times a day, more if needed – you can say them aloud or in your head if necessary!
Affirmations work because they are language which is positively framed.
Our brains have to process the words that we speak and the language we use in order to understand what we are saying to ourselves or others (in NLP™ this is called ‘internal dialogue’.)
You may have heard of ‘negative self-speak’, which is usually installed or added to your mind by others when you are growing up.
As our brains actively process the same words or phrases over and over, we are helping to create neural pathways and experiences, associations and responses which we connect with particular words, positive or negative.
When we re-iterate those words by saying them out loud or in our minds, we ‘trigger’ the positive or negative experiences in our minds and feel them all over again, generating a specific chemical response with the physical reaction.
So with active use of affirmations, we can help re-program our brains. If you want to read more about this, here’s a useful article from The Awakening Center.
So today I haven’t managed to get to the house cleaning yet. I’ve blogged, and I have been out for a long walk with the dog though, so I can add check mark to both ‘Creativity’ and ‘Health’. Time for some ‘Forgiveness’ affirmations if I don’t get the housework done! 🙂
