Intuition may be something that interests you as a curiosity or even a source of entertainment.
However, intuition is far more practical than many people realize. Some of the most successful business leaders, entrepreneurs, and educators actively use intuition as part of their decision-making process. Some speak openly about it, while others prefer to keep it behind the scenes.
Many professionals also recognize the value of Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. In fact, my business partner in the UK and I created several business training programs based on this theory. One of those courses was developed in 1998 and is still being taught today.
This raises some interesting questions: –
How can we better understand our natural learning style and use that knowledge to learn more effectively?
And how might that connect with our intuitive abilities?
As an intuitive reader for more than 10 years, I’ve noticed a consistent pattern. There often seems to be a direct connection between a person’s primary learning intelligence and their primary intuitive channel.
Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences
There are 8 intelligences (according to Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences).
Howard Gardner proposed that intelligence is not limited to a single measure. Instead, he identified the 8 intelligences that reflect the various ways people learn, process information, and interact with the world.
Understanding your strongest intelligence can help you absorb information more easily, improve retention, and access your natural strengths. This can be especially valuable when you’re navigating stressful situations, making important decisions, or learning something new.
Imagine you’re studying for a certification, developing a new skill, or adapting to changes in your career.
Knowing how you learn best gives you a significant advantage.
Perhaps you’re a visual learner who understands concepts more easily through images and diagrams. Or maybe you process information best when you’re moving, walking, or exercising while learning.
When you understand your preferred intelligence, you can work with your natural strengths rather than against them.
Discovering Your Personal Intuitive Process Through The 8 Intelligences
So how does this connect with intuition?
Through years of working with clients, I’ve developed a simple self-reflection exercise based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. The process helps you identify your strongest learning preferences and explore how those preferences may relate to the way you receive intuitive information.
The exercise is straightforward.
I send you a worksheet to review, and you complete a chart that helps identify your dominant intelligences. Once you’ve finished, you return the chart to me, and we meet for a coaching session to discuss the results.
During our session, you’ll learn not only about your preferred learning style but also about your primary intuitive channel. Together, we explore how your natural learning strengths may support and enhance your intuitive awareness.
I’ve found that when people understand this connection, developing intuition becomes much easier. Instead of trying to follow someone else’s method, you learn to trust the way intuition naturally communicates with you.
Your Personal Superpower
One of the most empowering things you can discover is that intuition doesn’t have to work the same way for everyone.
When you understand your strongest intelligence and how it connects with your intuitive process, you gain a deeper appreciation for your own unique way of receiving guidance and insight.
Rather than forcing yourself into a system that doesn’t fit, you can learn to work with your natural strengths.
And that may be one of your greatest personal superpowers.

In Summary
According to Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, we all have preferred ways of learning and processing information.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that these learning preferences often mirror the way people naturally receive intuitive guidance. Understanding your strongest intelligence can help you learn more effectively, make better decisions under pressure, and develop your intuition in a way that feels natural to you.
