What do psychic people eat?

Psychic people and food
What do psychic people eat? This question popped into my mind last night as I was preparing dinner. I had done an intense Akashic Records reading for a client a few hours before, and suddenly I got that energy drain.
When people give psychic readings or do energy work, the energy in the body runs in unusual ways, and people in my line of work need to make sure we take care of ourselves, energetically and through diet.
Supporting ourselves in sensible ways can mean we develop our stamina for the work and everybody benefits. Energetically sensitive people can get drained by exposure to imbalanced energy. This can affect our work so it’s something we need to focus upon.
Avocados are at the top of my list for psychic and energetic support
I first discovered how helpful avocados are for me during energy sessions when working on my EMF Balancing Technique accreditation in Sedona, AZ a few years ago now. The course was very intense energetically. I found myself drained and hungry on the first morning – long before it was lunchtime.
That’s a tough place for an energy worker to be in because the energy flows through the body during sessions. Sometimes energy workers can be supported by the universal energy we work with. That job is much harder to do well without good physical resources.
Intuitively I bought some avocados that evening, and at breakfast in our B&B the next morning, I made sure I ate at least half an avocado.
The difference in focus was extremely noticeable.
What’s in an avocado that is so helpful in intense situations?
MedicalNewsToday.com states
According to the USDA National Nutrient Database, one serving (one-fifth of an avocado, approximately 40 grams) contains:
- 64 calories
- almost 6 grams of fat
- 3.4 grams of carbohydrate
- less than a gram of sugar
- almost 3 grams of fiber
Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids.
Although most of the calories in an avocado come from fat, don’t shy away! Avocados are full of healthy, beneficial fats that help to keep you full and satiated. When you consume fat, your brain receives a signal to turn off your appetite. Eating fat slows the breakdown of carbohydrates, which helps to keep sugar levels in the blood stable.
Fat is essential for every single cell in the body. Eating healthy fats supports skin health, enhances the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, and may even help boost the immune system.
According to this article, avocados also contain a natural plant sterol called beta-sitosterol which helps to maintain healthy cholesterol.
So, in my eyes, avocado is definitely a psychic and energetic superfood!
A dear friend of mine taught me to eat it with lemon juice and salt. The result is amazingly delicious!
Psychic People also avoid stimulants
In 2012, at a Kryon Seminar, I also got some very clear messages to give up caffeine.
Now, I am British, and the kettle is on in my house several times a day, even in hot weather, so that was a hard message to take.
However, when I did give up caffeine, it seemed easy and I never looked back.
I still drink decaffeinated coffee and tea, but now I don’t have that four-hour high after drinking a caffeinated drink, along with the ‘coffee sweats’.
It’s a much more pleasant way to be. I have found some excellent coffee substitutes too, some of which I’ve listed below. I’m especially fond of the Dandyblend, it’s an excellent coffee substitute, good for you, and I don’t feel like I’m missing out when I’m drinking it.
Why Psychic People tend to avoid alcohol
Further down the spiritual path, one of my Akashic Records teachers suggested that we drink less alcohol.
I rarely do now, since I’m not as accurate even after one drink. Her teaching was that ‘alcohol makes the edges of the energy field floppy’ and that we should avoid alcohol 24 hours before working with a client.
I do believe that a reader’s accuracy can be impaired if a person drinks too much alcohol.
Of course, everyone is different, but often highly sensitive or highly intuitive people will use alcohol to block their intuitive gifts.
This gives them temporary relief from the input from Spirit (Allison Dubois demonstrated this in the dramatization of her life in the series Medium).
I still have a drink on Friday nights if I want one since I don’t work on Saturdays!
Other foods to support the psychic or energetic sensitive
Here are some personal favorites to help you on your way. I still eat meat, but in much smaller quantities than I used to. Sometimes, after group work or a series of readings, protein is the first requirement for psychic people!
What we really need to do after psychic work is to get grounded, which is what that energy drain is all about.
Feeding ourselves is one way to do that. A colleague who is a Shaman once told me:-
Eat root vegetables to get grounded.
I love Shamanic wisdom because it’s so straightforward, yet deep and immediate.
My energy boosts in between readings are:-
- Bananas (usually with low-fat string cheese as well)
- Avocados – as discussed above
- Half a baked potato with tuna or sardines
- Nuts, fruit, and a small amount of cheese
- A vegetable home-made soup, or bone broth
- A small amount of chicken, or tuna.
If you are psychic or studying to grow your intuitive gifts…
Consider managing your diet as part of your practice. As any working psychic or energetic practitioner will tell you, their work is a practice and also a lifestyle.
Opening to psychic abilities and the inner and outer world of energy put powerful demands on our bodies’ systems. This is because we are learning to run our body energy differently and expand our consciousness at the same time.
I just saw today that Avocado Milk will be making its’ way onto consumer shelves in the USA soon. That will make for some interesting colors in the cereal dish!
I hope you enjoyed my article about what psychic people eat (in this case, me). Let me know any ideas and recipes you have for balancing energy and I will share them here.
Lots of light
