What do psychic people eat?  This question popped into my mind last night as I was preparing dinner.

When you have a reading, you might not think of the reader as someone who is translating energy for you – but that is a big part of the work.

Sometimes, we need to eat straight afterward!

Psychic People, Energy Workers – and Food?

If you have decided to have some kind of psychic reading or an energy work session, you are probably not thinking about what the practitioner had for breakfast.

Yet the quality of the service you are paying for can rely on the reader or energy worker’s personal habits and energetic protocols.

Why is this? When people give psychic readings or do energy work, the energy in the body runs in unusual ways.

People in my line of work need to make sure we take care of ourselves, energetically and through a healthy diet.

Supporting ourselves in sensible ways can mean we develop our stamina for the work – then everybody benefits.

Highly Sensitive Person?

Highly Sensitive People and energetically sensitive people process a lot of energy around them on a daily basis.

In my case, if I don’t eat well or get enough sleep then I find it harder to give a good reading. This is just the same as anyone who has any job to do of course.

Over time and with experience, there are specific things I avoid to prevent unnecessary energy drain.

For example, I can’t watch horror movies or some types of murder mysteries – even war movies. I find it distressing and draining and then I have to clear my energy.

A quiet environment and a good diet tend to become more of a priority as anyone will find when they progress on the spiritual journey.

One Specific Healthy Food Is At The Top Of My List

I first discovered how helpful avocados are for me during energy sessions.

A few years ago I was working on my EMF Balancing Technique accreditation in Sedona, AZ.

The course was very intense energetically.  I found myself drained and hungry on the first morning  – long before it was lunchtime.

That’s a tough place for an energy worker to be in because the energy flows through the body during sessions.

Yes We Run Energy, But We Need Sustenance Too

Sometimes energy workers can be supported by the universal energy we work with.  Despite that, running a lot of energy through the body is much harder to do well without good physical resources.

Intuitively I bought some avocados that evening, and at breakfast in our B&B the next morning, I made sure I ate half an avocado.

The difference in focus and the lack of energy drain was like night and day.

On a more recent trip to Mount Shasta, I traveled there with two colleagues.

We were spending 4 days at a channeling and meditation retreat with 4 powerful channelers.

We all ate avocado toast for breakfast daily in the hotel!

Why Is This Green Fruit So Helpful In Our Diet?

MedicalNewsToday.com states

According to the USDA National Nutrient Database, one serving (one-fifth of an avocado, approximately 40 grams) contains:

  • 64 calories
  • almost 6 grams of fat
  • 3.4 grams of carbohydrate
  • less than a gram of sugar
  • almost 3 grams of fiber

Avocados are a great source of: –

  • vitamins C, E, K, and B-6
  • riboflavin, niacin, folate
  • pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium
  • lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids.

Although most of the calories in an avocado come from fat, don’t shy away!

Avocados are full of healthy, beneficial fats that help to keep you full and satiated.

When you consume fat, your brain receives a signal to turn off your appetite. Eating fat slows the breakdown of carbohydrates, which helps to keep sugar levels in the blood stable.

Fat is essential for every single cell in the body.

Eating healthy fats supports skin health, enhances the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, and may even help boost the immune system.

According to this article, avocados also contain a natural plant sterol called beta-sitosterol which helps to maintain healthy cholesterol.

So, in my eyes, avocado is definitely a psychic and energetic superfood – whether or not you are psychic and giving readings!

A dear friend of mine taught me to eat it with lemon juice and salt.  The result is amazingly delicious.

Psychic People Also Avoid Stimulants Like Caffeine

In 2012, at a Kryon Seminar, I also got some very clear messages from my Guides to give up caffeine.

I am British, and the kettle is on in my house several times a day, even in hot weather, so that was a hard message to take.

However, when I did give up caffeine because of the guidance I was given, it seemed easy and I never looked back.

I still drink decaffeinated coffee and tea, but now I don’t have that four-hour high and crash after drinking a caffeinated drink, along with the ‘coffee sweats’.

I have found some excellent coffee substitutes too.

My personal favorite is Dandyblend, which is an extract of dandelions.

My son loves it too, and neither of us feels like we’re missing out on anything when we drink it.

Why Psychic People Tend To Avoid Alcohol

Further down the spiritual path, one of my Akashic Records teachers suggested that we drink less alcohol.

Her teaching was that alcohol makes the edges of the energy field floppy and that we should avoid alcohol 24 hours before working with a client.

I do believe that a reader’s accuracy can be impaired if a person drinks too much alcohol.

Of course, everyone is different, but often highly sensitive or highly intuitive people will use alcohol to block their intuitive gifts.

This gives them temporary relief from the input from Spirit.

I promise you this makes me clean, not boring! I still have a drink on Friday nights if I want one since I don’t work on Saturdays!

Other Foods To Support The Psychic Or Energetic Sensitive

I still eat chicken and fish mainly, but in much smaller quantities than I used to.  Sometimes, after group work or a series of readings, protein is the first requirement for psychic people!

What we really need to do after psychic work is to get grounded, which is what that energy drain is all about.

Feeding ourselves is one way to do that.  A colleague who is a Shaman once told me:-

Eat root vegetables to get grounded.

I love Shamanic wisdom because it’s so straightforward, yet deep and immediate.

My energy boosts in between readings are:-

  • Bananas (usually with low-fat string cheese as well).
  • Avocados – as discussed above.
  • Half a baked potato with tuna or sardines.
  • Nuts, fruit, and a small amount of cheese.
  • A vegetable homemade soup, or bone broth.
  • A small amount of chicken, or tuna.

Working with your Intuition Or Studying Energy Work?

I would highly recommend managing your diet as part of your spiritual practice.

As any working psychic or energetic practitioner will tell you, their work is a practice that ultimately becomes a lifestyle.

Opening to psychic abilities and the inner and outer world of energy put powerful demands on our body systems.

This is because we are learning to run our body energy differently and expand our consciousness at the same time.

I just saw today that Avocado Milk will be making its’ way onto consumer shelves in the USA soon.  That will make for some interesting colors in the cereal dish!

I hope you enjoyed my article about what psychic people eat (in this case, me).

Let me know any ideas and recipes you have for balancing energy and I will share them here.

Lots of light
